Historic Ambulance Replica Coming to the O.O. Howard House |

Stop by the O.O. Howard House and learn more about WWI-era Army field medicine, courtesy of the Vancouver Barracks Military Association (VBMA).The group will display their replica WWI-era military ambulance along with other artifacts and photographs. Drawing on historic images and plans VBMA volunteers built the ambulance around the frame of a Model T. The more than two-year project was completed in 2017. VBMA volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the history of the barracks, the oldest American military installation in the Pacific Northwest. |
