Memorial Day Ceremony – May
28th 11:00 PM Memorial Grounds at the Vancouver Barracks. Reception (Invitation only) held this year at the Artillery
Barracks, will open at 9:30 AM. Barracks Tour will follow the ceremony by Vancouver Barracks Military Association staff.

Veteran’s Therapeutic Court will assist those who are facing challenges
such as combat trauma, and as a result entered the criminal justice system for low level offenses. The Veteran must
plead guilty to receive intense supervision and court-ordered treatment for a minimum of 12 months. Non-compliance can
include jail time.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a non-profit organization
for people who have severe and persistent mental health issues. We promote understanding and education about childhood
and adult brain disorders. We provide education, support groups, develop better public understanding, promote general
welfare of persons with mental illness, and foster the development and continuation of treatment programs. We have Crisis
Intervention classes held with the Law Enforcement Officers – a 40 hour training classes how to be aware of mental disorders.
Each year (May) we have a NAMI Northwest Walk Fund Raiser to educate the public of mental disorders. For further information

Nature Camp for Children of Active Military –Jim Moody (Kiwanis
Club) is asking for grant money or sponsorships for this camp to be held at Camp Wariki (Washougal River). The camp
will be held especially for the children of the Gold Star Families, or children whose parent or parents are serving overseas,
and if needed more, any Veteran children. Age requirements will be from 7-12 years of age and there are only 25 spots
available. We will be having Counselors from the High School Key Club with the children to learn leadership development.

Northwest Historical Perspectives – Frank Krone announced that
they will be having lectures on the Battle of Shilo and 10 Historical Forts here in the northwest.

February 24th – 12:30 PM, Oregon Veterans Medal of Honor Memorial
on the Capitol grounds. Volunteers from the Oregon Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission will give guided tours and
tell life stories of the recipients to the visiting tourists about the thirteen Oregon men of valor awarded the Medal of Honor,

Oregon Military Support Network (OMSN) – Connecting Veterans
with their benefits. We coordinate Job Fairs with targeted employers that support Veterans, have workshops and seminars

Western Pacific Trucking School – Ed Thomas 1977 Western Pacific
Trucking School began to train students on how to operate commercial trucks. Applications process consists of tuition
fee, monthly housing, and a stipend for books and supplies. Veterans will receive E-5 pay Rate through the GI Bill Chapter
33, VA approved. There is a 100% placement with the companies with some that offer apprenticeship programs. The

Any used paperback or hardbound books can be donated to the VA Medical
Center or the Vancouver Parks and Recreation Marshal Center, Drop-off box located in the lobby. These books will be
shipped to the Soldiers serving abroad.
“Dream Big” – Programs are designed
to educate, encourage and empower our youth to be active participants in the success of their life. The main concepts
are: purpose, accountability, confidence, leadership, goal setting, initiative, and self-reflection. There are
four Dream Big programs, a Dream Big Teens, a Dream Big Mentor Program, and a Dream Big Parent Workshop. They are also

Home Instead Senior Care – Julie Williams We provide
training programs for family members to care for seniors who have Dementia, Alzheimer, or other family issues. We encourage
