DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to a Open House being held by Clark County Fire District 3. You’ll have a chance to meet Firefighters and Emergency Personnel\, learn more about your fire district\, plus enjoy free food and fun for the entire family. \nBring your family and friends\, meet your local emergency responders\, learn more about the fire district\, and enjoy free hot dogs\, chips\, soda\, and water. Kids can play and stay cool in the “squirt house\,” and firefighters will be handing out stickers and helmets to kids as well. It also gives you a chance to see how your tax dollars work to keep the community safe. \nThe event will be held: \nSaturday\, September 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Station 34 (Rawson Rd.\, Elkhorn Mountain\, Summer Hills) 24812 NE Rawson Rd.\, Brush Prairie. \nFire District 3 and all its members are invested in seeing the community they serve live safely and thrive. Many of the district’s firefighters have chosen to make a career here because of the relationships they have developed with residents and the quality of life Clark County has to offer. The district values its relationship with the community\, and Open Houses are a great way for firefighters and residents to connect\, learn something\, and have a little fun.

DESCRIPTION:The goal for Elktoberfest\, which first began in 2019\, was to create a community event\, introduce a bigger target audience to the Elks and eventually create a bigger family event. From there it has grown each year. \nThe inaugural Elktoberfest took place at the Vancouver Elks Lodge\, located at 11605 SE McGillvray Blvd. in Vancouver on Sept. 27-28\, 2019. This year’s event will be open to all ages from 4-10 p.m. and will include German food\, Beer Garden\, bands\, yard games\, kid activities and more. \nEntrance to Elktoberfest is $10.  Free for kids 18 and under (deleted volunteers) \nAbout the Vancouver Elks\nThe original Elks Lodge 823 was in downtown Vancouver. Since 1902\, Elks Lodge 823 has been helping the Vancouver community through its numerous projects and events that benefit our neighbors\, children and disadvantaged families.
