Wow, in a few hours, August will be gone, and September will be here! Our new membership year’s first meeting is this Wednesday at 6 pm. Dinner will be served at 5 pm by Chef Jon, and he is serving Beef, chicken, and brisket sausage over mac and cheese with BBQ feast sides. Dessert will probably be a peach and blackberry cobbler.
Due to a query from Voyageur Loop, I’m going to try something new this year. Attached is a 2-page nomination form as a PDF. You can print the form at home if you find someone you would like to join Voiture 99.
Our Nationale website, www.fortyandeight.org, has lots of great information and newsletters.
If you have not paid your 2027 membership dues, or if I owe you a Boxcar Crew or Associate card, we can take care of that on Wednesday.
I will be gone from September 21st through October 4th, as I will be at Nationale and on vacation visiting my daughter and grandchildren in West Virginia. As always, I will have my phone and laptop with me, but if non-essential matters can be dealt with when I get back, I would really appreciate it.
